Located in Hougang, our bespoke design for our client’s Executive Maisonette reflects their idea of combining Chinese oriental and modern elements into one space. Working on this HDB, we were able to create work that reflects the best of both tradition and contemporary.
Our understanding of our client’s style and concept gave us space to craft and design a detailed and unique home.
By shifting the staircase, we were able to make the living space wider, allow more natural light into the home and put more focus on the wall art, which depicts undulating hill features reflecting the Chinese 山水画 or sansui-ga. To place more focus on the wall art, we fitted LED lights to help create the illusion of depth.
Establishing a sense of connection is important to our client. To ensure that their home is a comfortable and safe space to bond, we added windows on both sides of the wall to allow air and natural lighting to flow through the home.
