From the master bedroom all the way to the laundry room, it’s important to think about the flow of your home. Keep in mind how your family and friends are going to move from space to space. Will they be comfortable or will the arrangement of your furniture make it too crowded?

Curate your home.

Curation is not just for museums! Curating your home is all about intention and not always about getting rid of things. Just because an object isn’t functional, that doesn’t make them meaningless! Take a look at all your items and think about what they mean to you and whether you should let them go or not. It’s all about making space for the things you love.

Know the size of your room.

From the ceilings to the layout of your home, measurement and scaling are important when buying furniture. You really don’t want to buy furniture that is too big or too small, which can throw off proportion altogether.

Stick to one palette.

Opt for a cooler or warmer palette instead of mixing them together. It can be fun to balance colour palettes together but it’s recommended to stick to just one palette if it’s your first-time decorating.

Decorate with plants.
